Advice for new lens for my Z50

My main type of photography is zoo photography and it comes with different obstacles to overcome: subjects being far, in dark area or low light situations, barriers made hard to blend out due to sunlight. For any of you who’ve visited the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, reach is a must and perhaps tied with image quality for me. There 2 options I’m looking into buying, had to postpone my shopping since COVID started:
NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8 S lens with TC-2.0 teleconverter
NIKKOR AF-S 200-500mm f/5.6 ED VR lens with FTZ adapter
Which of these two would be a better option regarding reach, image quality, and handling?
Thank you and have a good day everybody!
